reaching for the star...eh, the star is not so bright la...

This is typical.

It is all started when I passed by the “Menara Alor Star” and me and my partner in crime noticed that there is a Spinning restaurant at that tower. That reminds me of spinning restaurant at KL tower, which I have never been as well.

In my mind I quickly imagine , the Luna Bar like interior (which I would say one of the “Zen-nest” interior design in KL,  the “Delicious Café” ambience, the ever tasty San Fran steak….hmmm, lets check it out we said almost at the same time. Well, a bit of advertisement me and Lady F has this mysterious which what ever pop up in my mind , pop up in hers as well especially when we think about food…food….hmmm…that food…errrr, we shall go into that topic some other time….

We were welcomed warmly  at the lobby at the bottom of the tower by a nice and warm lady. There are two types of fees to enter the tower, If you come for the restaurant, you can come in for free. However if you only come for sigh seeing, they will charge you the entrance fee of RM 6.

The tower is the 19th tallest tower in the world, however I couldn’t remember the exact height. What I do  recall the restaurant is located at about 90 to 95 meter above sea level. The journey upstairs with the lift took just a mere minute,  and the view from the transparent lift going up are spectacular. The adrenelin of rushing up make it exciting, hmm intresting….

Entering the restaurant, first thing that I noticed would be, you hardly feel the rotation. But looking at the window you will notice that you are actually moving in circular motion. Quite interesting looking into Alor Star city at night 360 degrees from 90 meter above the sea level

However, the decorations are really frustrating. It doesn’t have a concept or theme, and if any it is “pesembor” theme. Mixture of a lot of concept that doesn’t gel and look like a cheap restaurant. Hmmm, not a good sign… I would expect “posh-iness” coming over to place like this

Looking at the menu, I couldn’t believe my eyes. The offering price are reasonably cheap. They offered a micture of western and malay food. So I ordered myself fish and chip and chicken chop for Lady F. We also ordered the mango and prawn salad as appetizer. Well , im going to end my writing now. Simply because when the food come, it is the lousiest fish and chip I ever tasted, same goes to the chicken chop. The exact fish, chicken and fries you can get at supermarket, frozen food department. And for the sales, it is soggy, the prawn are weeks old and it taste like s&%$^$

Not to mention that we have to wait almost an hour for the food

If this restaurant is located on actual ground, this place is not worth mentioning at all. So frustrating. I would never ever set my foot here again (unless they change management and change the menu , etc)

p/s I took a peek at their kitchen, dirty like my drain…euwwwwwwwwwwwghhhhhhhhh……
