It is Friday , right ?

I love burger… God know how much I love burger…and I been eating burger since I was very young…Again, I love burger…Beef burger in particular.

I am sure a lot of you have been to this restaurant before. And perhaps you wont be tempted to read further. Nevertheless I had my Buka Puasa with my Partner in crime, my best buddy Charlie and his fiancé. I don’t think I need to give any introduction to TGI Friday… 

Anyhow, I went to their new outlet in Sunway Pyramid. Being in this type of restaurant, bar cum restaurant concept like TGI, Chllis, Hard Rock , etc you should either head up for their scrumptious steak or their heavily beefed up burger. And they do mean business.

For the record, this type of restaurant does not show any Halal sign for the fact that they serve liquor, but they guarantee that it is pork free, and the meat are obtained from certified halal slaughtering house. And they do explain about the ingredient of each menu to ensure you choose something that you have confidence with.

Back to the menu…well, the great thing about this kind of restaurant despite their expensive price tag ,they have  a very huge portion of food. Hence four of us only ordered two main dish, one appetizer and three drinks.

First would be the appetizer, it is a combo (which I forgot the name) consisting of TGI most famous appetizer. Well, I have seen the same menu in Chillis and Hard Rock …so u can’t really say that as TGI famous aite…Anyhow, the combo consisting of Grilled chicken wing, Potato Skin, Mozarella,  and a few stick of that vegetable that I totally forgot the name. Also it come with three toppings/ dips whatever you named it. I always love the grilled chicken wing that has that sour taste plus sweet taste of chicken….my saliva drip every time I think about the taste…However, last night it wasn’t as great as usual.. I am not sure why… The Potato Skin taste good….well baked potato with some shred meat on top, I love it…The potato is so smooth while the skin grilled to perfection and become crunchy…Lovely taste. Whilst the mozzarella taste as usual,(which is good)

The firs main dish would be Shrimp and Chicken Pasta. Honestly I am not good with pasta neither love to eat it…I never ordered one, but if it is around for my consumption, I would take a bite or two…or three….err…or four as well…This one is reasonably OK…Even not a big fan of pasta, I know how it should taste like and this one doesn’t have enough kick..It doesn’t have enough sour taste, but it aint that bad either…There is some buttery smells and taste too, which help the pasta  taste better, however the serving of  Shrimp and Chicken is great. Mix the shrimp , the sour tomato sauce, the chicken, the buttery taste and the pasta itself…suddenly everything magically changed into a tasty dish…. Wonderful

Next would be crème de la crème - the Fridays Burger….and it is typical American style burger..I am talking about 10 oz of thick burger patty, grilled to perfection with a layer of cheese on top of the patty, thick cutting of pickle, tomato, lettuce and soft bun…same recipe repeated for years , succesfully…and this is really a huge super burger…May not be enough to be King of Burger, but this burger is the real deal….damn huge…. And the taste….

Let me explain how a good burger should taste like…..A good burger always start with the slight smell…seriously…it aint that much , but you can smell a good smell of freshly grilled burger patty, that blend together with a nice smell of butter, and slight burnt smell of the bun. Secondly the appearance, the tomato must look crunchy on the outside, with full orange colour, whilst the lettuce must cover the whole inner part of the bun (bottom and top part that sandwiched everything) whilst it must be in light green form…A splash of oil in, sphere form, if could be traced on top of the lettuce show that the lettuce is fresh…not soggy…mmmmm…owh no….no soggy lettuce please…….. then the pickle…u can’t have only one…u need a few to cover the whole surface of top part of the beef patty…this is to ensure that every bite will have a bit of pickle in it…and then the Cheese…bright yellow colored cheese slightly melt and glued the beef patty….and finally the most important thing would be the beef patty…thick like really thick…as comparison , if you buy the normal Ramly burger…you need three layer of the Ramly Burger patty to match a good thickness of beef patty…and no, it doesnt taste good if you have multiple layer….it must be Royal…single layer of THICK beef patty…and no, this aint meal for the small eater, no for those who has small mouth and very unlikely girl could consume this….This because you need to unlock your jaw….open it wide….and salvage the burger like a wild beast….yes that is how you do it….and for the side dish…one you need a freshly fried potato…not the curly type but a long, strong, Squarish, crisp on the outside and super soft in the inside with high temperature remain in the softer part of the potato…and  not forgetting a dash of salt sprinkle on the outer layer of the fried potato….they called it fun fries…I called burgers soul mate…and TWO, a good supply of chilled Coca-Cola with a bit of ice…not too  much or lese it would melt and spoilt the great cola taste….… and no….we haven’t talk about the taste of the burger

A good burger should taste like this and exactly like this…..When your inner beast salvage the burger wildly , you jaw will clam a portion of the burger, whilst slowly your teeth will reap it apart…First you would notice the taste of the bun, always…nicely fried bun with sesame on top, slight resistance with your first bite but once your teeth passed the brownish skin of the bun, you would notice the milky white inner part is rather soft and sweet…flour sweet…then you will pass the lettuce…slightly bitter and crispy…but you would like it….then the tomato..by now, you would taste the tomato juice ,, sour but not that sour…it just feel right  and then the pickle….crunchy, acidic and sour …….and suddenly something different…salty and milky…and you know it….it is the cheese…but this is not the average cheese…this is semi melting cheese with a bit of aroma and wonderful delirious taste….it just getting wilder and finally…a 10 oz beef patty , shred, grind, flavored , compact  and grilled to perfection….the outer part of it feel slightly salty and bitter due to the burn mark…then the inner part…a very meaty taste…slightly wet and oily….and you would think twice….you don’t remember this taste when you eat your beef rendang, or daging masak kicap, and not even the Ramly Burger…this taste different…could cow actually taste like this….it still has that meaty taste, in full flavor…but the addition of other ingredient make it perfect….and that is about it….you can’t think further….you are too busy salvaging one of the best man made meal….and when every taste of the bun, tomato, pickle , lettuce, cheese and the great beef patty combine….it become LEGENDARY....….no way you can say no to this…no you don’t need chilli sauce like you did with Ramly Burger or at McDonald…you don’t want to spoil the taste….you want to keep this in your mouth….you chew longer than usual….all because you feel that the taste is not for you to swallow and consume, it is for you to taste for as long as you could…you keep on chewing until it totally mashed and you couldn’t help to swallow it, unwillingly….then you take another bite, then another …by the time you ate quarter of the burger you pick some fun fries….while you haven’t swallow the last bitten burger…you shove the fries in your mouth and that gel with the taste of the burger….you taught u had it all…but no…this is even better….how can you describe this with word…another bite perhaps…..then you feel thirsty…..you reach out you hand , hold your hand to a glass of cold coca-cola full flavor…not the diet one …the real coca –cola….not even pepsi…..and you  stuffed the straw in your mouth….you suck hard…..the icy sensation suddenly change the taste in your mouth and wash all the remaining bit of the burger down to your inner part décolletage …..shruppppppppppppppppp……and aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…..

That’s it….perfect…..i will end this now…no point writing further if you could not imagine what I mean…and yes the TGI burger taste like this….damn….
