From My Desk: Kap-sule Edition

  alhamdulillah. i'm now breathing the somewhat not-so-pure air in penang after finally making it today though was about to miss the transportation.

  anyways, that was not actually the point.

  i've finally managed to finish the selection of articles for the 2nd edition of kap-sule. the ideal date for the release is of course early next month but anything can happen, no? like the dog may eat the editor's hard disk (popular excuse, very US), amnesia or even global warming. last point may not be related but its good to appear having green-thoughts these days. 

but still, just pray really hard that another edition will come out really soon, insyaAllah.

 well, we are going to try something else for the other edition. what we are going to do is to have a different theme for the coming edition...well..more to like for other editions as well, if everything goes well. it can be anything; shoes, retail, blood, mosquitoes (are they breeding under this table or what?), friendship, ships, snips or whatever. ouh and emission trading.

  but we are not going to be setting the theme. no, no not us who are going to select the articles and artworks. YOU are going select it. the next theme will be of your choice. i hear you ask how we are going to do it.

  easy.

  for the next theme, let's have your suggestions sent to us (either mosh, shazmiey, blake_zane or me) for what you might think the best theme for the upcoming kap-sule. and tell us why you think the theme is the best.

  the price? eh i mean the prize? we will use your theme and try as hard as possible to select articles based on the theme. and this can be a real challenge to everybody, really is. and for the selected theme, the person will have the opportunity to write a foreword for the edition.

  we would love to know what would make a great theme. and you can start sending in the details now.

  so start picking the theme as well as preparing your award-winning speech as the foreword. i've got to go stare at the idiot box a wee-bit longer.

Footnote: the next edition will be the fourth edition, not third. but still, keep sending the suggestions because the earlier we start, the better.
