*Never before have I hoped to touch people’s heart as much as today.

Often when I weep, my tears dries off, I noticed my agony refuses to wear off, it holds steady akin to skin on flesh; with every breath I take I feel it gaining weight. I hear your plead from the suffering you face, you cry and scream, from the torment of the repetitive phase.

Instilled within me humility and modesty, for I write knowingly. I write with shame and indignity, the pride that normally stands proud with its head held high up has shrunk and gone off, But enough about me, who am I to say I understand what your troubles are made of?

You are there and I am here on my couch watching you through the idiot box.

Home ripped apart, I see the soldiers lining you up, making your family kneel outside your own house. Mothers pushed around, children showered with bullets and bombs, buildings shattered, the minarets crushed to the grounds, hospitals trampled into bits, the trees crushed down. The azan still sounds, a reminder that life on earth still goes on.

On the other side of the world the people who watch the 9 o’clock news stare at you nonchalantly and they express themselves in their own accents, ‘Stupid people, why are they always fighting?’ I hope they come and take over your place, just to give you a better understanding.

Citizens of the world walk uncaringly; they close their eyes, and walk the other way with better and bigger things to crave for, for the stability and the security they dream of, for the approval of society and the idiots who lives in the cities. I look at them and look at myself—I let out a sigh and think of how am I to live against the whole universe?

Living in this state of reality, where everyone is programmed into a greedy, material chasing wealthy animal, where they’re consistently condescending and stereotyping, I find it suffocating and soon I will be condescended for not adhering the laws of stupidity. I suppose my future looks gloomy, my parents walk with their eyes to the ground, my presence already sinking down.

I hear screams and wails, I see limbs torn off from bodies, the inhabitants of home chased away, now they live in tents called ‘camps’, they appear weak and defenseless though a there’s flame within them, makes the unbelievers tremble in fear.

Resentment, probably the only outcome of this dread, well resentment and hate—you expect anything less than that? Will you not defend your state? Please try and understand we are not that different, surely you can relate?

How can you not relate?! Oh people of the world, don’t you care for the people you love? How do you not understand!? You blame what they try to withstand, are you incapable of compassion? Are their sufferings unreal? Why are you looking the other way? Open your eyes; open your eyes— despite everything been said you turn your backs off. Verily your hearts are made of rocks.

My plead goes astray, it goes unheard of, you people close your eyes with worldly pleasure, you cover your eyes with imaginary lives; you wrap your heart with blasphemous lies.

He vows to himself even in death to fear not, to defend and fight with the nothing he posses. Forget ammunition, we don’t need heedless protection, from our intention comes protection, faith the pillar against transgression.

And they say, “We will chase, torture, rape, kill and imprison these animals”

And they reply, ‘we are not afraid! With stones and sticks, we protect the weak, we fight back and never stand back!’

And they say, “We are the promised people! You are inviting our wrath”

And they reply, ‘we are not afraid, for we have faith we stand together against fear, we stand proud against your evil threat, witness our bravery and face us you cowardly.’

And then they turned their heads and looked at the people, ‘you have not helped me but you’re judging me and labeling me? What is your right? Who is your Lord that enables you to do so?’

And then they stood and prayed and then they bowed down and prostrate.

Part 2

The occupiers were silenced, they care less in hiding their violence, and they continued their deeds of wickedries. While the onlookers shake their heads— and act like they are exhausted from doing their part.

The Arab world turns a blind eye, the rich merchants, they too pray to their God but they pray to preserve their power and wealth. They don’t care, these closed minds as long as they’re living well everybody else can go to hell.

Their hypocrisy so obvious, but they pretend they can hide it with high priced smell (perfume). Hypocrisy lies deep within them, it deceits them…at the same time their brothers and neighbors are treated with grief and misdeeds.

Forget greed, forget self-deceit, come together now, selfishness brings forward darkness,

Selfishness brings separation, not peace!

Where lies their conscience? Surely they’ve lost it.

I see the mothers beating their chests, I see mothers’ expression their dread, I see mothers scared for her child. The young girl crying, I see the young boy suffocating, I see the father sighing, and I see doing nothing.

The day will come, nay! Not wishful thinking, but a sure thing. There will come a hand, an unshaken, unafraid one, with sincerity and self piety, a humble servant, a mere human, a gentle heart, a loving man, will shake the grounds, In the name of the One.

For all the years, for all the tears—you inflicted so much terror; you think it will stir fear? Instead you give birth to an enjoined atmosphere, I, he, man, and women will rise up and fight. Transgressors, ugly hearts, beware of the pure hearts—impossible we know fear! Surely you will run in terror, when your bullets fail to instill fear. For what is worth, we will fight till you adhere.

Today while I struggle with my own fears, I see that we are in dire. Things all around me are going haywire… I see sadness engulfing the universe; we are clearly lost in finding our path. If my words could talk, they’d be crying instead. To the evildoers I dig into my chest and bring my heart out and you shall bear witness of the faith I hold of.
