Okay. Yesterday I saw this drama @astro Ria (or was it astro Prima? Can't remember and don't care) 'Wali' (guardian, a person who can give away a Muslim bride). It's about a girl who wanted to get married and she insisted her father to be her wali and set out to search for her long-lost father only to find that he is a transsexual. Some people might think that this is crap, and it doesn't happen in this society. Well, I've seen somebody in real life who admitted such thing.

It was during a program that I attended some time last year. We went for a field trip and my group had a session with members of Pink Triangle Foundation. They were MSM (Man-sex-man) and some were educated people and professionals. One of them admitted that he used to get married and have kids. Though I pity his kids, I also pity him.

I pity him. Yes. But don't get me wrong. I'm not encouraging him. It's a matter of making choice. I'm sure most of them know that religiously, it's wrong and a sin. Instead of condemning them, we should give them the support to make the right choice in life. Ostracizing them worsen the matter. Building good and healthy relationship with them means building trust and when they trust you, delivering the right messages could be a lot more easier.

The same goes to those who got pregnant out of the wedlock. Before all that even started, we need to prevent things from happening. But if it happened, we should make them (the persons who got pregnant out of the wedlock) realize that it is wrong but it doesn't mean Allah won't forgive them. What if they are young and confused and start to do stupid foolish things later because no one care to guide and support them towards a better life? Is it totally their fault then?

Hoho... and suddenly I feel like I want go to Dr. Zaidi and thank him for all his Educational Sociology lectures because now I start to see what he was talking about before *grin*
