As we know, Kapasitor has been invited to Venice for Special Mention in World Summit Award 2007 which will be held in 3rd-6th November 2007. As the founder of Kapasitor, it is my intention to bring Malaysia to the eyes of the world as we are still in 50^th anniversary of Merdeka and due to Visit Malaysia 2007. 

To be invited as a presenter during this event, is something that I had never dreamt before. To represent Malaysia in such event is something that never had crossed my mind. But a single chance would change this forever. A chance of a lifetime that would benefits the whole community of Kapasitor, might as well change the future of the whole online community in Malaysia. 

For years I have been devoted my life into Kapasitor. Some people call it wasting of time, some others might think I have been wasting my youth. The truth is, I have been doing all these not for me, but for you. Call me nerd if spending thousands of hour sitting in front of computer is useless. Call me antisocial if hanging out with friends is the last thing I would do in my routine. You name it all; I don’t mind. 

Because what I wanted in my life, is to help people around me. 

Alhamdulillah, God gave me the greatest 8 people; the administrators of Kapasitor who share my vision, who are willing to give their time, money and life for the benefits of people whom they never met before. Thank God for giving me the opportunities to bring these people together with me to pursue my dream in helping people. And most important of all, Thank God for opening the hearts of the rest community to join and support Kapasitor. 

What brings me headache lately is how to make it possible for me to bring along my administrators together with me to Venice. Yes, I want to take the greatest 8 to join me in Venice, to meet up with greatest people around the world who had won the award, to seek new opportunities in life and most important of all, to contribute back to Kapasitor based on what they would learn from the World Summit Award 2007. 

The administrators of Kapasitor have been known for their remarkable skills and effort in forging Kapasitor into what we have now. From Prasasti to Kapasitor Widget, from seeking new writers to developing Kapasitor v4, from promoting Kapasitor in forum and verbal; all of them without hesitation had done the best for this community. Without them, my lifetime would be cut in half, my hair would no longer grow and Kapasitor would never have the chance to be in Venice. 

Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to get the greatest 8 to Venice. We were short in fund and time. Nevertheless, MDeC (Thanks Vernon Fernandez for your help!) agreed to sponsor only one person from Kapasitor to go to Venice.

And that would be me.

I take this chance to congratulate the Administrator team for their hard work, effort, focus and so many things that they had done for Kapasitor. And for my beloved community, thank you so much for supporting Kapasitor.
