The Land of the Lost

Hello people. How are you? Okay great. I just got back from watching The Land of the Lost and I would like to put my two cents. Ada paham? Bak kata omputih, opinion/review. Pardon me if does not sound like a review (macam la terer sgt nk jd pengkritik). It's just an opinion.

Will Ferrel. What do I think? I've seen most of his movies and I don't like it at all. Not only the jokes were crude, they were degrading. I felt sorry for him. So when I managed to watch the trailer for The Land of the Lost...I said, "Hey, this looks kinda cool". It captured my attention. Not to mention uculer said that she was going to watch it. And my reply was, "Please don't let the jokes be too dumb or retarded. I don't know how long I'll be able to control the urge to poke my eyes if my expectations were true". Alright, I might perhaps exaggerate about the self mutilation.

Suprise. Yes, that's what I felt watching Will Ferrel. He was...how should I say this, acted his age. He has matured! Mind you there were a few lewd jokes but the lines were given to the supporting actors. Thank God!

The heroine...I think I've seen her in Nanny Mc Phee. She was a maid. Yes, I love her accent. She was lovely, and funny without being obvious. 

Now back to the storyline, Will's character is a professor who's obsess with the idea of time warp. He wants to explore and find the dimension where the lines between the past and the future blurs. Er, I think that's about it. The heroine will accompany him on his journey and two sidekicks to complicate the matter.

Funny moments (a bit of spoilers goes a long way):

a) Will gets in trouble after insulting a T-Rex (something about T-Rex only has a brain the size of a walnut)

b) T-Rex send a gift in the form of a walnut. Hint: the size is not the same as the walnut we know of =).

c) Oh, watch out for the scene when a mosquito bit Will. F.U.N.N.Y.

I will give this movie four stars out of five. I still didn't like the crude jokes but they were still bearable.
