Salam and Hi all,

Yup, it’s that time of the month. This is the EN section July 2010 bulletin.

I start off by apologizing to you all because of my absence in Kapasitor for these past 2 weeks.  It was a disaster in moshland (well, not really). I admit it, I caught the fever again, my days and nights are upside down, my sleeping pattern changed (what’s the pattern anyway?), my work schedules is out the window and all I could hear is the buzzing sound in my ear while trying to sleep...the vuvuzela lullaby!

Ok you got it, I got the World Cup fever! Sadly it’s over for me (why Argentina? Why?) But I’m rooting for the underdogs now (go Uruguay, go!). But my prediction is it will be the Netherlands vs Germany for the finals on 11th July. Oh, and I’m currently sits at No. 6 in the Kapasitor.net  McDonald’s FIFA World Cup Fantasy (lauk arr!, takpe have to wait for more rounds :P)

Ok enough of sad happenings in moshland, let’s go to some EN news.

1)      Thank You & All The Best Shazmiey@Miss Ida

We are sad to inform you that Miss Ida or better known by her ID : Shazmiey, has resigned as the moderator of the EN section.  Citing the increase of her career commitments, she wish to step back for now from the EN team and focus on her work as a teacher. But she adds that she will be back when needed if the time and situation permits. Now that’s the Kapasitor spirit!

We wish her the best in her career and hope she continue to support the EN section. Thanks Ida!

4)      10 Words Poems Campaign/Competition

Rebelliben, our latest moderator, have informed me of this “10 Words Poem” project.  I think it’s a splendid idea! Ben said this project is to encourage members who are shy or ‘takut-takut’, to start writing poetry. To date, I don’t know if it’s a campaign or a competition. Still waiting for Mr. Ben to announce it. But don’t worry, we will confirm it and update you guys ok.

5)      June 2010 Statistics

Numbers, numbers..I just love numbers!

With not much difference from last month stats, the poetry section received a total of 37 poetries and the short story showed just one entry.

But it’s a positive sight as we see a lot of newcomers to the EN section.  The EN section welcomes  Ibunazlan, ghotz, wanderman, are_deep, khadija, kekasih, kurusawa, crew_tikl, awanbiru and painkiller for their posts. We wish you guys to keep on posting and sharing your creative writings again and again.

A special mention here for Ibnuazlan who posted the most poetries for the month of June 2010 with 9 poetries!!  Not far behind is Choco and ghotz with 4 poetries each.

Thank you to you guys and to all those who kept visiting EN section  and commenting on the poetries posted.

Below are the selected poetries (in no particular order) by moderators for June 2010 :

If I'm A Dinosaur (Choco) The Other Moth (kurusawa) The World Today (Khadija) For My Dearest Palestina (Tept) I know (Awanbiru) Two Rainbows (Uculer) Seriously.Honestly, Truly (Safina17) Memories Of Ayah & Tribute To My Father (MissClarks) Gaza’s Freedom (Ibnuazlan)
10. Declaration Of Love (crew_tikl)

Ok, that’s all for this bulletin edition and I end this with a quote from Scott Adams  –

Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep”

Thank you for reading and have a wonderbaarlik* day!

*that’s wonderful in African
